1:16. എന്നിട്ടും യേശുക്രിസ്തു നിത്യ ജീവന്നായിക്കൊണ്ടു തന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിപ്പാനുള്ളവർക്കു ദൃഷ്ടാന്തത്തിന്നായി സകല ദീർഘക്ഷമയും ഒന്നാമനായ എന്നിൽ കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എനിക്കു കരുണ ലഭിച്ചു.

1:16. But here is why I was treated with mercy: so that in me as the worst, Christ Jesus could demonstrate his utmost patience, as an example for those who are going to believe in him for eternal life.

1:16. But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life.

1:16. howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me as chief might Jesus Christ show forth all his longsuffering, for an ensample of them that should thereafter believe on him unto eternal life.

1:16. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.

1:16. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

1:16. but I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience for an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.

1:16. But I was given mercy so that in me Christ Jesus could show that he has patience without limit. Christ showed his patience with me, the worst of all sinners. He wanted me to be an example for those who would believe in him and have eternal life.
